CORE LEADER
Brightwood is a platform built by Michael Liu to achieve our goals. Prior to the establishment of Brightwood, Michael joined Jian Wei Development Sdn Bhd (“JW”) as General Manager. He was the pioneer in the first acquisition of land bank by JW and under his management and leadership, housing projects “Sempurna Jaya” and “Sempurna Damai”, township of “Sempurna Heights” and 1000 units of affordable homes with collectively total Gross Development Value of over 1 billion Ringgit Malaysia have been success and gained community reputation for quality homes. He has accrued more than 20 years of experience in project acquisition, town planning, investment analysis, project implementation, sales and marketing, market research and marketing activities. He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce (Investment and Risk Management) and University of Adelaide SA Australia with Master of Accounting & Finance in 2008.
Weil Koay
PROJECT DIRECTOR
Mr Koay serves as our Project Director and brings over 25 years of extensive experience in the property development industry. Throughout his career, he has been involved in the planning, development, and delivery of a wide range of projects, equipping him with deep expertise across the full development lifecycle—from concept and design to execution and completion.
His strong technical knowledge, combined with hands-on project management experience, enables him to effectively oversee project planning, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure that timelines, quality standards, and cost objectives are consistently met. Mr. Koay’s practical approach and attention to detail play a critical role in mitigating risks and driving efficient project execution. With his proven track record and leadership capabilities, Mr. Koay provides the strategic direction and operational oversight necessary to ensure the successful delivery of the project, while maintaining a strong focus on value creation and long-term sustainability.
Jess Li

Ms Li is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in the internet and technology industry, having worked with major companies such as Alibaba and Tencent. Through her roles in these leading organizations, she has developed deep expertise in service procurement, vendor management, and strategic sourcing.
Her experience has allowed her to gain valuable insight into the operational structures of large-scale internet enterprises and to build a robust professional network across the digital ecosystem. Combining her industry knowledge and connections, Ms Li continues to contribute meaningfully to projects that bridge innovation, efficiency, and strategic partnerships in the technology space.
